Amie New Leaf Skin Exfoliating Polish

Amie New Leaf

A wonderful winter skin pick-me-up!

Exfoliating is essential during the autumn and winter months as the colder temperatures lead to skin that looks dull and feels dry. If you have sensitive skin then you may find it difficult to find an exfoliator which is effective, whilst not further irritating your skin. Luckily for you there may be the perfect product: Amie Skincare’s New Leaf Skin Exfoliating Polish.

The first thing I noticed about this product was its smell. Rich and creamy mango seed butter not only provides a beautiful fresh and fruity fragrance, but also softens and moisturises the skin. Whilst some exfoliators can really dry out the skin (even if it’s oily), New Leaf reduces shine and leaves your face feeling silky soft.

Unlike some exfoliators which use synthetic beads to remove dead skin cells, this one contains bamboo and jajoba beads for a gentle scrub. Amie recommends using this product only once or twice a week if you have sensitive skin, but I personally could use it three or four times a week with no problems. Whilst the beads are rough enough to provide a satisfying exfoliating action that really refreshes the skin, they don’t leave your face looking red or irritated. My skin was left looking brighter and more radiant, with none of the tightness that I’ve experienced with other exfoliators.

With the added addition of sweet almond oil and bitter orange flower extract, the natural plant extracts in this exfoliator take it beyond high street alternatives, the majority of which are often packed full of chemicals. Suitable for both vegetarians and vegans and free from nasties, such as parabens and sulphates, New Leaf is a product that I would definitely recommend to those with young, sensitive skin who are looking for a gentle and effective facial exfoliator.
