‘It’s Raining Men’ Shower Gel by LUSH

Hallelujah – oodles of honey scented bubbles!

If you’ve ever tried LUSH’s famous ‘Honey I Washed The Kids’ soap, a luscious toffee and honey scented treat, then this shower gel will feel very familiar. ‘It’s Raining Men’ is a silky, golden coloured gel packed with honey, lotus flower, tiger lily and orange blossom – a sweet and rich concoction. This sensual and sticky-sweet mix is tempered with a subtle hint of bergamot which makes the scent fresh as well as decadent.

As soon as you lather the shower gel on your skin (a little bit goes a long way), the sublime smell of honey and flowers intensifies and the lather turns into lots of tiny perfumed bubbles which soften and scent the skin. This is a great one to use before a night out, as the luxurious scent is long lasting and beautifully complements many evening perfumes too. I like to wear Gorilla Perfume’s 25:43 after using this shower gel, a gorgeous combination. ‘It’s Raining Men’ is truly a delicious and decadent treat for the skin!

  1. Dearest P&P
I always find the experience of being in or even near a Lush store somewhat overpowering and, frankly, slightly unpleasant.
The aromas altogether are simply too much for my delicate constitution, though I know for some they are olfactory ambrosia.
It has only been the gift of finding our about the very lovely Gorilla perfumes that led me back inside at all and once there I have made the happy discovery that actually many of the individual items are quite delightful.
This sounds as though it might be a little sweet for my dandy-fied nature, but I shall be sure to give it a sniff as I have head thence to try ‘Sun’ sometime soon.

    1. Indeed, it’s definitely not an ideal shop to visit if you are prone to scent induced headaches!
Despite the honeyed sweetness of ‘It’s Raining Men’, the floral undertones might just tickle your fancy?
Our trip to London was quite an experience – let’s just say that travelling by coach at 2am to arrive at 7am didn’t make for a very happy or well rested P&P! Nevertheless, we had a lovely time in Penhaligon’s and Liberty and left London smelling of luxury perfume and coffee!

We hope your trip to America went well!
